Hello team! Some quick updates: 1. We just received our tax exempt approval from the IRS! All donations are now backdated to 2017! To any of you who made a donation, thank you! You may now deduct the donation amount from your taxable income for 2018. :) 2. Our summer plan is to find senate and assembly sponsors to reintroduce the two bills in January, and to continue to develop awareness of the issue. We are almost at 111,000 signatures! 3. Please PLEASE continue to call Governor Cuomo’s Office, as well as senators and assembly members, throughout the summer. We need to make it clear that the issue is not dead. Otherwise, signs may magically change... in the dead of night. 4. And to those who don’t read the news, two weeks ago, the NY Senate passed a bill (40 to 20) that would rename the bridge the Gov Mario Cuomo Tappan Zee. Many Democrats voted yes.
