(It is safe to click) Pretty exciting, don't you agree? WE. ARE. IN. BUSINESS. Some updates: 1. In case you didn't click the link above, Save Our Tappan Zee, Inc. is now a legal not-for-profit corporation in the state of New York. We'd love you to become a part of it! 2. We now have a fantastic board of directors (Dena, Alan, & Ray, with two on deck: Annette & Jeff). This past week, we had the first meeting (which was a resounding success), and our next board meeting will be held next week, on the 27th of December, in White Plains. I will share soon what the board will be discussing and on what it will be deliberating. 3. Our website now includes photos and bios of the current board and staff: www.SaveOurTappanZee.org Check it out! If any of you are coders like me who know git, GitHub, html, css, jquery, and javascript, and want to volunteer as part of the web development team, please let me know. 4. I will be completing IRS paperwork this coming week, opening our bank account, withdrawing the GoFundMe money, and continuing to carry out the board's marching orders. At our upcoming meeting, we will be setting up our entire battle plan for the next year, and thereafter. Things are about to start moving! 5. I will also, starting next week, be starting an additional fundraiser for the corporation here, on Change.org, through the organic Change.org fundraising platform. We believe that this will encourage even more people to support the cause, as they sign the petition. 6. We now have an Albany Coordinator, Jimmy, who will be helping to coordinate our efforts up north. Those who emailed me: I will be putting you in touch with Jimmy shortly so he can more closely coordinate with you. In the meantime, you can read more about him on our website. 7. We are in the preliminary phases of starting a Westchester / Rockland competition that we believe is going to really help our cause. Dena, one of our board members, will be heading this up. Stay tuned. More details forthcoming. 8. I hope it's clear now that from the beginning, I had (and still have) the very best of intentions. And now, it's not 'me'--it's US. The Corporation.
