To pass laws against deforestation specifically in the Amazon Rain Forest
Deforestation is the mass destruction of trees and is defined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as “the permanent removal of standing forests”. Forests cover 30% of our world, though this percentage is disappearing rapidly due to illegal logging, clear-cutting, wildfires, overgrazing, and the prevention of growth of young trees. The majority of deforestation is human-driven. We need trees to absorb the carbon dioxide we produce, with more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere global warming increases. Soon we will all see and feel the severe effects of global warming. Many species are already feeling the severe effects of deforestation. Habitat loss, flooding, and diminished food supply are huge contributions to the endangerment of certain animal species and no one is doing anything to help them.
