Sam Surowiec is a respected teacher at Explorer Middle School who lost his leg in a motercycle accident. He competes in a parapeligic volleyball team and wants to get 2 weeks unpaid time off to go to china to compete to become eligible to go to the summer olympics. The school district denied his request, and said if he did go, he'd have to return early, which meant he would not be able to compete in the summer olympics.
