Split Zoo in Croatia was supposed to have been closed down in 2014, due to the horrendous conditions animals were being kept in. However, it re-named itself as the Split Science Museum and Zoo and the animals (including a tiger on its own in a tiny cage) are still suffering.

The zoo needs to be closed down for good and the animals re-homed to sanctuaries. The zoo brings shame on Croatia, which should be embracing the growing trend of eco-tourism.

Please release these poor animals from their misery; let them live out the rest of their days with the freedom to roam and feel grass under their feet - to feel something of what it is to be free.
