We request immediate communication from the Mayor of Theewaterskloof Municipality as ratepayers and/ or citizens of the Theewaterskloof municipal area as described within the constitution of our country.

We want each of the following point addressed and clarified in writing, publically, to our community at large.

1. Communication regarding COViD19 in TWK- specifically each town. We request updates from our mayor regarding each towns COViD19 status as done on other municipal areas in our region, province and country.

2. COViD19 plan for TWK. We request a detailed plan of action regarding all aspects of COViD19 planning for our municipality, showing specific towns.

3. Plan for homelessness in Theewaterskloof and a public identification of the shelter mentioned that is to be used. We also request information as to why there are still homeless persons on our streets.

4. Plan for positive isolation if needed. We request identification of where the positive cases are intended to be isolated, if need be in Theewaterskloof.

5. Feedback regarding protests in Villiersdorp and Botrivier. We request information on what's going on and how do we prevent this in other towns in Theewaterskloof.

6. Land invasion during COViD19 in TWK. We request clarity on the land invasion situations in Theewaterskloof during COViD19 and the official response of the municipality.

7. Constant communication plan between municipality. We request a detailed date, time and manner plan in which the mayor will give constant feedback to our community.

8. Fiber internet. We request feedback on the process of Fiber internet availability to homes in Theewaterskloof. Businesses running from homes need this urgently.

9. Contributions to community. We request evidence of contributions to our community from the municipality. On or before the 1st of May, the mayor stated in an official release that the municipality wad intending to give 7,000 meals a day. We request evidence of this. We request evidence of financial assistance to local organisations.

We are in the beginning of a pandemic and now is the time for leaders to step into their job descriptions. We request the mayor to do so and lead our community safely through this pandemic with assistance from district, provincial and national government.
