HTC recently instructed a contractor to carry out a pigeon cull in the town of Hungerford, Berkshire. Rod Smith of Humane Pest Solutions has been killing the birds, leaving their bodies littered all over the town.  This was bought to light on 3 August 21 when the council were forced to issue a press release when we challenged them.

This is not the first time the council have decided to kill the town's pigeons, they have been doing this for years, under the radar.  They claim to be struggling with pigeon numbers stating health hazards and nuisance and have no choice. They have not explored humane solutions or sought professional advice on this matter from any one other than those with a vested interest in killing for profit, although they claim to have done so.

Cllr  says the town hates the pigeons, locals are contacting us to raise awareness of this and help stop the cull.  The pigeons are enjoyed by the town and the visitors and do not deserve to be killed.  We need your support to show the council the majority do not support this decision.
