The Mandatory Vasectomy Act is a petition designed to gather support for making vasectomies mandatory for men across the country who are not willing at the present moment to create or care for children.

We believe that the abortion debate is not only supremely contentious and divisive, but putting all of the burden on women, and their ability to control their reproductive systems.

The MVA seeks to take this burden off of those who carry children and place it on the men who provide the catalyst for the child’s creation. If every man capable of producing children, but unwilling to raise them or are incapable of caring for them gets a vasectomy, the burden of unwanted pregnancy will be removed from women.

We are proposing all men of viable sperm-producing age undergo reversible vasectomy surgery to stop the chance of pregnancy right at conception. When the man is ready to have and care for children, and support the efforts of women through pregnancy and child raising, then the vasectomy will be reversed.

The abortion debate is tearing America apart. Let us stop the debate now by stopping pregnancy at its source.
