This petition is for a change of law on the Isle of Man to facilitate assisted dying for those who are terminally ill, allowing them to die with dignity. Mentally competent adults should have the right to receive a prescription medication to hasten their death, and end pain and suffering. I have seen too many people with motor neurone disease, terminal cancer and Alzheimer's disease asking, if not begging to end their suffering. It is time for Isle of Man law to progress in the direction of modernity on this matter, and I hope you can support this.
