We are acutely attuned to spotting hypocrisy, bullying and bad behavior. We also know right from wrong and can see clearly what our elders can’t. We are a group of children who have stood witness to the downward spiral of death and destruction in the United States during the mismanagement of Covid-19. Family and friends, communities and country, institutions and fundamental rights… the very essence of humanity has been defiled as the death toll continues to rise under the leadership of this current administration.

President Donald J. Trump has exhibited complete dereliction of responsibility so egregious and systematic that it amounts to murder. Policy and personal behavior meant to undermine and ignore science, repeated and calculated rejection of presidential briefings and intelligence that squandered best practice and time, funding and medical supplies used as strategies for political gain rather than tools to save American lives, incendiary and reckless use of media to misrepresent COVID-19 in the US and globally, employing COVID-19 as a vehicle for racial divisions and diversion fueling anti-Asian racism, xenophobia, hate crimes and murder, encouraging gatherings and anti-science protocols that spread sickness and death, censuring and censoring multinational health organizations and stakeholders, deliberately ignoring racial and financial inequities of COVID-19 resulting in disproportionate death rates of Black and Hispanic/Latino Americans, and the countless lives harmed and killed by the ongoing social and economic ramifications of such actions. 

To date, 151,000 Americans have been killed under this administration, the largest body count of any nation in the world. A projected 200,000 is expected by October 1st, 2020, a number that is as insufferable as his words on February 28th stating this outbreak to be ‘a political hoax.’ His complete relinquishment of the most basic duties entrusted to him of his office, to protect American lives, has not only been flagrantly and contemptuously forsaken, but violent rhetoric and destructive policies that kill are deemed strategic to his reelection and are actively pursued. As the future generations of Americans, we are petitioning to have Donald J. Trump charged with Crimes Against Humanity as defined by the murder of American citizens through his willful negligence, omission and failure to act as outlined above.

Our small voices constitute what is left of our morality as both American children and human beings. We desperately need your help so that we can present this in solidarity to The International Criminal Court at The Hague and hold Donald J. Trump responsible now and in the annals of history.
