The Issue

To the Honourable the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, in Legislature Assembled: The petition of the undersigned constituents of British Columbia, states that: The Incomappleux Forest Service Road not be deactivated.

Your petitioners respectfully request that the Honourable House urge the appropriate ministries and

agencies to take the necessary steps to stop the deactivation and leave a viable access road for year-
round residents, property owners, recreational users, tourists and community members.

INCOMAPPLEUX VALLEY, BC —  Residents, recreation organizations, and regional stakeholders are calling on the Province of British Columbia to immediately pause planned deactivation work on the Incomappleux Forest Service Road (FSR) and removal of bridge infrastructure until meaningful engagement and a collaborative review process can take place.

The Incomappleux corridor provides critical access for residents, emergency response, stewardship activities, and responsible recreation. Stakeholders emphasize that the road has been closed to vehicle traffic since 2021 to address safety risks, and they question why permanent infrastructure removal is proceeding while access is already restricted.

Stakeholders Call for Pause on Incomappleux Road Deactivation, Seek Transparency and Collaborative Solutions.

Please sign our petition to show your support.

Thank You!!
