The Lower Saluda River is a unique and outstanding natural resource in the Midlands which deserves attention and care. The River Alliance has developed an integrated greenway plan for the Lower Saluda that links the three rivers of the Midlands together, yet sadly, its funding and construction has remained elusive for years.  Building the Lower Saluda River greenway will enhance our region's economic development, tourism, and recreational opportunities. Now is the time to identify and commit to a funding source. Use the River Alliance plan that allows for public access while protecting the river. Build the Lower Saluda greenway and plan for ongoing maintenance and management.
