Portuguese families targeted by social services in United Kingdom
The Issue
Further to our recent telephone conversation in October 2020 I would like to request for you(the landlord) to either move myself and my family to an alternative suitable flat of my choice in a building where the no pets policy is actually enforced or to remove all my current neighbours Cats & Dogs & any other pets which are kept in the building illegally (whether for personal reasons or for commercial pet sitting reasons) all in breach of their tenancy agreements.
Residents keeping pets at the building is clearly a health and safety law matter as it poses a life threatening problem for my granddaughter
she permanently has resided with me in the building since 2012 when I was granted a guardianship order over her. She has been medically diagnosed with numerous serious life threatening allergies in relation to cats and dogs and has as a result had to make frequent trips to the Accident and Emergency department at Kingston Hospital either by Emergency Ambulance or by Taxis.
The state of disrepair in the property also poses a serious threat to My granddaughter life as the dangerous mould on the walls of 23 Hoften triggers off her Asthma leading to serious Asthma attacks which often leads to her getting numerous chest infections as a result. Her multiple infections situation has deteriorated and weakened her immune system which has lead her to suffer from recurring chronic tonsillitis. It’s got so bad recently that she will have her Tonsils removed on the 23rd November. 2020.
We are very concerned that if as usual no action is taken by you like with our previous complaints about this matter in the past which were just ignored then My granddaughter may have to return to a toxic building after her surgery with all the hazards mentioned above still present in the building which could lead to my 10 year old granddaughter losing her life if again you fail to act properly as required by law.
I made a formal complaint to the Equality & Human Rights Commission under the Equalities Act 2010. I also have made a similar complaint to my MP. Paul Scully. My granddaughter was so unwell that she hasn’t been able to return to school at the beginning of term and to date she still has been too ill to attend school at all.--
Please could you be so kind as to reply to this email very urgently so that there is enough time for the appropriate action to take place
Kind regards
