Make Battery Farming Illegal In The UK

The Issue

Hundreds of thousands of farm animals are killed every year, brutally slaughtered and tortured, all to mass produce cheaper meat. These animals are born into captivity, farmers feed them the remains of other slaughtered animals to cut costs, they are kept in tiny cages, crowded until they can't move and then eventually they are cruelly and painfully killed. I am not suggesting that we ban meat, only that we take more care with the suffering of animals that can be avoided. Free range meat means that the animals can have long healthy lives without torture and captivity and you can still eat meat.
