UPDATE: The HHOF has reached out via Twitter to clarify that the photo stand in question is NOT theirs but one run by the NHL.  For that reason we will refocus our ire on our true enemy: the event coordinators working for the NHL.  We expect that the next time this stand will be used will be at the Stadium Series game at the United States Air Force Academy's Falcon Stadium on February 15th.  It is there we shall make our next stand (no pun intended)!!!

Original Campaign Outline:

As goaltenders, we are accustom to suffering a variety of injuries & abuses - from pucks, on ice adversaries and opposing (or sometimes even our own) fans.  For that reason we wear more protective equipment than any other athlete but there is no piece of padding that can protect our feelings. And it is the damage from a great injustice that is being done to our feelings, psyche and souls which is the focus of this petition.

As part of their traveling exhibit, the Hockey Hall of Fame (HHOF) has a photo stand-in with the goalie leg pads inverted: the left pad is on the right leg, the right pad on the left. This slight, from the historical authority of sport, is like a dagger into our hearts, stick through out cat eye cage, puck to our groin.  We humble ask, nay beg, the HHOF to right this wrong and return the goalie leg pads to their rightful places (on the correct legs).  Though this goalie be but a mannequin, he is still one of us.
