BUS GATE VS TREES, STOP PROPOSED BUS TRAFFIC,RAIGMORE ESTATE,SAVE OUR TREES!
The Issue
We the undersigned request that our comments and objections be noted and taken into full consideration regarding Planning ref.no 20/01839/S42
The proposed siting of bus gate to run adjacent to Raigmore hospital boundary will have a detrimental affect on both the environment and the residents particularly those in pensioner bungalows in Ashton Crescent.
Objection of material planning:~
¡ Adverse impact on residential amenity ref Part 111 of Environmental Protection Act (1990) "unreasonably and substantially interferes with use or enjoyment of a home"
¡¡ Destruction of existing, established grove of mature oak and sycamore trees, destroying wildlife habitat and community enjoyment thereof.
We oppose the increase in bus traffic in our area. The proposal contradicts one of the 5 National Strategy High Level Objectives re. Transport system that meets everyone’s needs, respects our environment and contributes to health and wellbeing. Environmental Noise (Scotland) 2006 Directive.
Please note there has been no formal notification of these planning proposals to residents in the neighbourhood and no consultation whatsoever from either Highland Council or the Raigmore community Council.
