My name is Sara Dworak, and as a 13-year-old girl who, wrote many letters against Animal Abuse as a child, my first was when I was 7, and that's when I knew I couldn't stand by. When I got to 7th grade, I had a chance to make my change. I made my school project to be getting a local and statewide ban on Animal Cruelty and Abuse. Starting with my hometown and neighboring cities of, Gurnee,IL and Grayslake, IL. Then expanding to statewide, possibly nationwide.
Animals are helpless, and in a human's eyes they can be easy to take out anger. In my eyes, animals are precious creatures, they deserve a life without fights, abuse, neglect, and abandonment. They need a life of love, hugs, care, and a loving person to protect them. Some people think of Pit bulls as nasty, evil dogs, when in fact man themselves have made them that way. Dogs, Cats, Birds, and Reptiles are abused everyday, and many don't even notice. People do terrible things to get a laugh, or to get "even" with their animals, as many of you may have heard about the man who beat his dog to death over a bath, I knew when I heard that I had to do something to stop it. Many people petition against abuse, but my cry is different. I'm not like the rest, I'm 13, I wrote letters to the president when I was 7 about this. But did he help me, no. I am out to make a change in millions of animals lives. I want to make their lives better, happier, and healthier. Many teens and children are against animal abuse, but not all of them try to stop the problem, I am one of the few that want to give animals of all shapes, sizes, paws, claws, or fins a chance at a fair life. I want to stop their hurt, their sadness. Please help me stop their abuse. This petition will go to my governor to strengthen laws against animal abuse, add more patrol around neighborhoods of known offenders, and raise fines for an offender to pay. I want to crush animal abuse. Think about it, bullies are frowned upon, and animal abuse is a form of bullying, sure it's not abuse to a person, but they might as well be heard. Stomp out Abuse, it's wrong and hurtful, to more than just the animals, but to the people who stand by, unable to give justice to the animals. Animals need a voice, more like a million voices, since the abusers drown their cries out. If we rise up and speak up for them, they will be heard and we will drown out the abusers hurtful words and hurtful actions. Let's turn one signature into millions. Help me with my lifelong dream, I care to much about the future of our nation and future generations of animals to let this issue go unsolved. So, I ask you, sign my petition against Animal Cruelty and Abuse.
