I am sharing this update from an international animal welfare group that is aware of the terrible situation of Baby Gluay Hom, who remains in the hands of his abusers at Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo at 10280, 555 Thanon Thai Ban, Pak Nam, Amphoe Mueang Samut Prakan, Chang Wat Samut Prakan 10270, Thailand : This is what they said:

"We are aware of the situation at Samut Prakhan and during the National Geographic teams trip they were in regular contact with us to let us know what they had seen so we could advise on the conditions of the elephants.  Our Thailand office filed a formal request with the responsible government department to investigate the conditions at Samut Prakhan based on animal cruelty concerns. The authorities followed up on this and provided some suggestions to the venue not to use the elephant for shows. They did not share our concerns of animal cruelty. Our Thailand office followed up through another site visit after and still found the elephant in poor health, but slightly improved." 

This is not an acceptable outcome. We need to continue to keep up the pressure on the Thai Government to remove Gluay Hom from Samut Prakan and relocate him to a sanctuary. Please continue to sign and share this petition. Thank you.
