Hunting is done as a sport. 

Why? 

We have basketball, soccer, video games, etc. We don't need to hunt. It is cruel to animals and for what? Entertainment?

Those who say it is to "control the population", predatory animals do that just fine. And keep in mind that people are hunting these predators that help keep the population of other animals stable, as well as animals that are food for the predators. This chain reaction will soon make more species go extinct.

There is no plausible pro of hunting that outweighs the cons. We have to save animals.
