I am calling on EVERYBODY to keep sharing this petition to continue to make it visible. I am so grateful that I am not alone in this, and there are people who want to support me. When I started this petition, I thought to myself that I was only 1 person, who would want to hear what I have to say. But then I thought to myself that all it takes is 1 person to make a good change in the world.

Tell them that there is a petition going around AND YOU (AND/OR YOUR FRIENDS) NO LONGER WANT TO BE REFERRED TO AS "black" ANYMORE. Let them know that you want to be referred to officially as African and African American. And if they ask why, tell them that it is because you see that there is more to you. Your roots and your heritage and your culture are African. You choose to no longer accept terms and connotations which do not accurately define you, and were used by racist people. Tell them you want a world where your children will not be afraid. Tell them because culture is so much more than a colour. AND YOU yourself, stop calling yourself "black". You are African or African American.
