Thank you for being patient with me in updating. I just wanted to give a very quick update before I head into work to clock in.

I keep updated with change.org's instagram page, and they posted that the United States Congress is back in session today. I encourage everybody living in the States and EVERYWHERE ELSE to call up their representative bodies and bring forth this petition to them. CALL UP THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS AND PRESENT THIS PETITION TO THEM!

When it's time for election 2020, tell them you want to be accurately represented/categorized. Tell them that "black" is not a race or what you choose to identify with. Tell them that the actual race is called African and encompasses everybody of African descent.

Whoever you are, immigrant, mixed, African American: YOU HAVE A VOICE AND MUST BE HEARD. Change comes when you take a stand. I believe in this petition and I believe in you too. Send out your messages and continue the conversation!

We will know we have won when the name is OFFIFIALLY changed to African and African American and not "black".

Note, it is racist and lazy to call someone by a colour instead of their actual race. Change starts with you today.

And to the people not of African descent who have seen my petition and support me, I love you so much and I am eternally grateful for you. It just goes to show you that no matter who you are, being human is what connects us.
