We want to help solve the problem around pets being put into shelters or abandoned due to landlords not allowing pets in rental properties. Our aim is to influence the current laws in New Zealand to benefit and support the Animal Welfare Act. The result we are hoping for is to raise more awareness around the issue and put Australia's "no pet ban" in rental properties across New Zealand. The actions we are taking to help solve this issue is donating and fundraising, however to get a long term affect, we have created a petition to try influence the current laws so that the problem around the Animal Welfare Act are resolved and more pets have stable homes and families.
