We would like to petition the Goshen Central School District Board of Education to hire Mr. Henry Freedman to the permanent position of Principal at Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School. 

Mr. Freedman has been with the district for five years during which time he has become a vital part of the school district.  He currently serves as the interim principal of SAS and has previously served as leave replacement principal at SAS from October 2015 to August 2017.  While not serving as interim Principal Mr. Freedman serves as elementary coordinator for both Scotchtown Avenue and Goshen Intermediate Schools.     

From 2004 to 2015 Mr. Freedman served as a teacher at CS 152 Evergreen School in Bronx, New York.

We believe that Mr. Freedman would be a true asset to the children, parents, staff and community.  He is constantly involved, available and is truly dedicated to giving our kids the best educational experience possible.  He is a great role model, leader and is highly respected by the faculty, staff and most importantly by the students.

Additionally considering the revolving door for the principal’s position at SAS over the past few years, having someone familiar as Mr. Freedman would be highly beneficial and give the students a sense of stability.

We urge the Board to make the best choice for the education of our children, and that choice should be Mr. Henry Freedman.
