Your attention is drawn to the state of THREE Kenyan engineers in Ethiopian jails.

As we mourn the death of Mr. Zakayo Muriuki, a Kenyan telecommunications engineer who died under the custody of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, we draw your attention to the status of Mr. Jedrick Mugo, Mr. Maxwell Odhiambo and Mr. Osborne Otinda arrested in Ethiopia while on a working trip to your country.

We maintain that they are innocent as they were only sent to Ethiopia to work by their respective employers and they have endured lengthy detentions while awaiting conclusions of their court cases.

In the spirit of the African Union objective of forging greater unity and solidarity between African countries and Africans in general, we appeal to the Ethiopian government for the immediate and unconditional release of Mr. Jedrick Mugo, Mr. Maxwel Odhiambo and Mr Osborne Otinda.

Zak's final journey commenced from Kenyatta University Morgue to his rural home in Kirinyaga where he was laid to rest. A special thanks on behalf of the family for the overwhelming support they received.

Zak's Memorial Service was well attended. Friends and families then proceeded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters to deliver a hard copy of the petition letter.
