Because Romanian Competent Authority didn't develop and implement appropriate legislation and training to regulate these activities,
We request that you ban all catch activity of the dogs in Romania and make it illegal because:
- EU laws are being breached
- Inhumane handling
- Poor or lack of training for staff
- Inadequate equipment
- Badly designed vehicles
- No standard operating procedures (SOPs)

This methods used now in Romania to catch stray dogs allow legal animal cruelty and can seriously damage a dog's health and are potentially lethal unless used correctly. We consider it also illegal and unacceptable on animal welfare grounds, human and more especial child's perceptions.

Based on European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals and OIE - World Organization for Animal Health guidelines issued in 2009 that requests all 177 member states to use only human methods for stay dog control. Capture, transport, and holding of the dogs should be done humanely and should be achieved with the minimum force required and equipment should be used that support humane handling.
