On April 2, 2019 our house was raided by police and my children’s father was taken into custody. He was charged with manufacturing delivering drugs, possession of firearm by felon, and parole violation because he was still on parole from a previous conviction. I was two weeks pregnant with our son and our daughter was only seven months old. They basically took everything that we owned. The only thing that they didn’t take was the clothes on our back. They even took possessions that did not even belong to us and would not let the people that the possessions belong to you get them back. My husband just went to court this past February and he signed for 25 years. He comes up for parole February 21, 2021. I’m not saying that what he did was right but when he first got out on parole in 2014 he did try to do things the right way. He got work through a temp agency and quickly got a job at a plant called Trinity heads. He worked there for about six months and then they decided to promote him to Forman because he was such a great worker and very dependable but when they decided to promote him they had to hire him on through the actual company so they had to do a background check and when his background check came back they ended up firing him. That happened through other companies as well. So he basically was at the point of giving up because he didn’t know how he was going to take care of his family because he kept getting let go due to his criminal background. He has five kids all together he has four daughters and a son and he didn’t know how he was gonna take care of them if he had no income. So he basically didn’t have a choice but to go back to what he knew and basically what he knew would bring money into his house hold. So I’m basically starting this petition because my kids are still babies my daughter is only 2 and my son is only 9months. All of his kids are under the age of 18 except for one. And he is a terrific father and a terrific partner in life and he would give anybody the shirt off of his back if he thought that it would help them. And I really don’t want my kids to have to grow up and miss out on the chance of knowing such a wonderful man. Like I said I was two weeks pregnant with our son When he was taken so our son doesn’t know him at all. And I really want my kids to grow up and know who their father is as well as the other children that he has to have the chance to know him as well. I’m not asking for much; I’m just asking for some signatures that could maybe possibly get him the chance of parole to come home on December 9, 2021. And again I know what he did wasn’t right but at the same time he tried to do things the right way and the system wouldn’t let him.
