Voter Suppression 

A successful democracy requires civic engagement - particularly a citizenry that votes! Yet, roughly half of the US voter-eligible population does not vote. Many low income voters who must work multiple jobs, and single parent voters, simply cannot make it to the polls on Election Day. 

Without the votes of these valuable citizens, our elections will show only lies. The most effective solution is to make Election Day a federal holiday. Let's give everyone the freedom and the incentive to go to the polls and participate in an effective and equitable democracy. 

By establishing Election Day as a federal holiday, we are allowing and motivating millions across the United States to finally participate in our government.
