Kyrene Yrisarry started this petition to The Commission of Human Rights (CHR) and the people

The world is changing, and at a pace that some find it difficult to sync. To this day, violation of Human Rights is still a local issue. The LGBTQ+ community is acknowledged, but are still limited in legal rights. Children that haven’t even reached the age of 15 yet are being married off to older men. And there is a concern for gender equality for there are still some parts of society where men are more privileged and favoured than women. Our vision is to bring equity and justice to the community. Change is a must, and it must happen now.

The Our Universal Rights (OUR) campaign has one main goal, and that is to make a positive change for the betterment of everyone and a brighter future for the country. We are aiming for the full support of the community and the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) to move this campaign in the right direction. It starts with our petition to improve parts of society and strengthen their Human Rights, to show the government that we, the people, take liberty and equality very seriously. Because most of my team are women, we’d want to enter society with equal footing. It’s worth the effort and time if we’re going to end up with a prospering community if this campaign succeeds.

Human rights, irrespective of race, sexuality, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status, are rights universal in all human beings. Human rights also include the right to life and liberty, freedom from violence and racism, freedom of speech and belief, the right to work and education, and many more. Everyone is entitled to these rights without discrimination.

Our Campaign is all about universal rights. It proclaims that human beings have the right to be enjoyed by all people, no matter who they are or where they live. Just and legal liberties, such as the right to life, independence, free expression and privacy, are provided in the Universal Declaration.

The part of this movement is the Commission of Human Rights (CHR) and the people who are in support of this movement by signing the petitions and fighting for what’s right. The reason as to why we are looking for this their support is because the CHR can conduct investigations on human rights violations against the depreciated and impuissant part of the society. The Commission can bring out responsive, attainable and effective public service for the safety and encouragement of human rights in line with universal human rights morality and worth. We need the people’s support in this campaign as well because it’s essential to help bring awareness to the people who are in a vulnerable situation in our society in terms of violated human rights.
