For a long time now, Gears of War 4 has been seemingly dying on PC due to boycotting of the Windows Store and perhaps not enough coverage on peoples usual platforms of choice.

I, and quite a few other members of the community, believe that a release on Steam will result in a drastic increase in sales and coverage of the game and could revitalise Gears of War 4s PC player base.

At the moment, The Coalition has been thankfully implementing crossplay to keep this dedicated community alive but it seems a lot of users don't believe it fair for ranked modes to get a crossplay update due to the advantage of some PC exclusive items so I do not think that crossplay is the best way to do it, although I would enjoy it.

If either Microsoft or The Coalition could allow this game to release on Steam, as they did with Dead Rising 4, I believe that the PC community will welcome Gears of War 4 as a bestselling game and will create an even bigger community than what we already have.
