Change Vineland regulations to allow residents to keep chickens on their property.

Change Vineland regulations to allow residents to keep chickens on their property.
The Issue
Currently, township rules prevent any Vineland residents from having chickens on property of less than 5 +/- acres. That prevents the overwhelming majority of residents from legally owning chickens on their property.
The advantages of having a few chickens in your backyard is numerous, not least of which is a greener, more eco and animal-friendly source of protein from their eggs. Additionally, chickens create excellent fertilizer, help clean your yard, are like a natural garbage disposal, and help control bugs and weeds naturally.
This petition will be brought to city council meetings with the hopes of changing those laws to allow residents to have even a small, modest coop. I am planning to attend several meetings and to raise awareness with city administration that residents want this change, and your support will make that battle far easier! Please sign to show your support.
