NW hospital bsically kidnapped a old man, held him captive via sedation, outright lied about why he was there, tortured him via starvation, and the only explination is good ol fashion greed! The amount ofmoney the hospital was paid for gross neglence for human life was enough to almost kill a man for. NW hospital was seeing my father in law for stomach pains. When he choose to leave he was told no. He decided to remove his IV and cath and walk out. The hospital then sedated him and put him in ICU. No family was contacted. Upon questioning why he was sedated and in ICU we were told he was being treated for alcohol withdrawl (he is not a drinker), after threatening a lawyer we were told it wasn't alcohol withdrawl he needed his galbladder removed but his heart was too weak for surgery (he does have a bad heart). When we asked for proof we were denied. When his health began to fade quickly we were basically told he may not survive much longer and demanded to see the hospital administrator who informed us he did not have a bad gal bladder nor had he been fed one ounce of nutrition for over a week. She had no answers and claimed he "fell through the cracks". Upon demanding his transfer to a different hospital we were found with another fight and it took threatning to press kidnapping charges to get him moved. He was transfered to UMC who noticed he had not even received basic oral care at NW. He was kept in ICU over night while being fed. With nutrition he made a quick recovery and was discharged a few days later. What northwest hospital did is no different then kidnapfping a persfon nd holding them for ransom.
