NO FOAM ZONE. Help us ban foam containers in Central Florida. This petition calls for the prohibition of single use foam containers by restaurants, food vendors and consumers. The foam used for coffee cups, to go containers & coolers is harmful to our health, the environment and wildlife. Foam products are petroleum based and never decompose, they just break into tiny pieces, which are extremely difficult to remove from our waterways, streets and parks. Many of these pieces resemble food sources for wildlife. Each year, thousands of animals die after ingesting pieces of discarded foam containers. There are many safer alternatives to foam containers that are readily available. Please join other citizens & the following organizations by signing this petition to create a NO FOAM ZONE in Central Florida. Thank you.
