Help lower the crime rate for inner cities of Dallas communities by signing our petition!
The Issue
The Dallas crime rates are 68% higher than the national average with violent crimes in Dallas being 127% higher than the national average. There is a 1 in 24 chance of becoming a victim of a violent crime in Dallas.
We believe opening The Highland Hills Community Center will serve as a great benefit as we strive to make our community a safer place for our children. The Highland Hills Community Center’s mission is to teach our youth to have confidence, character, and care/value for intellectual property. These three dimensions of self awareness are explored thoroughly to infuse the youth with a strong sense self-image and positive self-esteem. The Highland Hills Community Center will accomplish this by collaborating with counselors, businesses, community organizations, as well as other non-profit organizations to build both healthy relationships and obtain resources needed to succeed. Our organization is committed to providing resources, knowledge, skills and other services centered around the counseling of our youth.
We endeavor to have a positive impact on developing our youth’s character and to give them a safe haven for learning. With your signature, The Highland Hills Community Center will urge The City Officials of Dallas to give the Community what they need and grant us the ability to provide more critical programming and services which will play a large role in enabling our youth to reach their full potential and regain confidence in themselves.
