John Zaruka wants to build 77+ homes on Sterling Hills Golf course.

This will cause course resizing downward, add additional traffic through the gated community of Sterling Hills, Las Posas Estates and Spanish Hills via Romona,  Beardsley, Sterling Hills, Aprisa, Calle Tierra Vista and Crestview. Increase noise, require road construction on farm roads.  Reduce open spaces designated as rural urban, causing these communities to become overcrowded. Put addition strains on city services. Lower home values. Put a strain on local grocery stores, restaurants and stores that are in lockdown. 

When Sterling Hills was developed, the City deemed the golf course and homes as 1 development, with the requirement the golf course be the "open space" and to be only used for a golf course, and not for more home building. If the city breaks its own rules, other communities in Camarillo will have the right to ask for rezoning as well.

This opens Pandora's box, which can lead to overcrowding city wide. The city and it's citizen will be subject to growth resembling the San Fernando Valley.  With the spread of COVID-19, do we really need more people living in the same area? This can easily be stopped if the the city counsel votes no on Zaruka's request to re-zone at the City Council meeting January 27th.  Please, help us save the rural urban life.
