Keep Chicago's "other" public television station, WYCC, alive.

(Sadly, off the air as of 11/27/17, but please, read the latest in the "Updates", the most recent ones especially. Petition and updates will be maintained until we know of an alternate solution.)
Petition: According to https://current.org/2017/04/final-fcc-auction-data-shows-sales-of-30-noncommercial-educational-tv-stations/?wallit_nosession=1 the City Colleges of Chicago sold WYCC http://www.wycc.org/home/ a wonderful Public Television Station, for less than $16 million (peanuts, as according to a Tribune editorial its value was estimated to be over $450 million, http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/editorials/ct-spectrum-wycc-fcc-auction-20151111-story.html). Apart for very good own programming, this station was the only one in Chicago that carries Democracy Now (https://www.democracynow.org), a Native American directed network (https://fnx.org) and a real Window on the World through its MHz Programming (http://www.mhznetworks.org). Hopefully, this petition will alert residents in the Chicago area of this impending loss (October 25, 2017 the station is supposed to go off the air) urging the City Colleges to keep the station alive and to continue its wonderful services (also paid for through membership fees).
