Name the New Buffalo Bills Stadium for Marv Levy

As longtime fans of the greatest team in any sport, we are writing to ask that the Buffalo Bills commit to naming their new home stadium in honor of Marv Levy, the man who led our storied franchise to four consecutive AFC Championships in the early 1990s - a feat that has never, and will never, be accomplished again.
Born into a working class home on the South Side of Chicago, Marv Levy epitomizes the American Dream. He worked his way through Coe College in Iowa and was admitted to Harvard Law School - an opportunity he declined in order to embark on what would become a Hall of Fame career in football. Beginning as a high school football and basketball coach in St. Louis, Levy quickly rose among the coaching ranks with success at the University of New Mexico, Cal, William & Mary, the Montreal Alouettes, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
At the same time that Levy was proving his mettle, Bills fans were suffering through a quarter century of futility. From our founding in 1960 until 1985, the Bills posted a record of 153-212-8. There were bright spots along the way - back-to-back AFL titles in 1964 and 1965, a quarterback named Kemp, a coach named Saban - but for most of this time, Buffalo was an afterthought in the football landscape.
That all changed in 1986, when Marv Levy replaced Hank Bullough as head coach. In the years that followed, well, what can we say? The Bills dominated the AFC. The K-Gun offense haunted the dreams of defenders across the league. Bruce Smith, Darryl Talley, and Phil Hansen gave quarterbacks nightmares. Future Hall of Famer Steve Tasker proved that special teams play really can be one-third of the game.
In the end, the Bills captured six divisional titles. Four consecutive conference titles. And a place in NFL history.
Now, the Bills are negotiating with New York State and Erie County to build a new home stadium in Orchard Park, New York. With Sean McDermott, Josh Allen, and Stefon Diggs, there is no question that this will be home to a new period of success, perhaps one that will even surpass the early 90s.
But as Bills fans and Buffalonians, we remember where we came from. We are a salt of the earth, blue collar fanbase unlike any other. That's why we are asking that the Bills honor the man who is most responsible for making this great franchise what it is today and name their new home field in honor of Marv Levy.
