Broadcast a Conference Footy Show

Broadcast a Conference Footy Show
The Issue
This started off as a casual conversation at an FA Vase 4th round match but the more we thought about it, the more it made sense. Believe it or not, people do care about non league football and it's about time more people got to see it.
At the end of the season, we WILL petition the BBC to broadcast a Footy Conference Show (consisting of Conference Premier, North and South), airing after the Football League show.
MOTION.
WE NOTE:
- The Conference Premier, Conference North & Conference South comprise of 68 teams across the country.
- 21 of these clubs are former Football League clubs
- Teams are relegated and promoted in accordance with FA regulations.
- The sum of average attandances across the three leagues is 66 080
- Conference Prem (24 clubs): 43 406
- Conference North (22 clubs): 13 723
- Conference South (22 clubs): 8 951
WE BELIEVE:
- 'Non League Day' helps to increase attendances at conference games
- Publicity of non league clubs increases awareness of their existence
- Television coverage of Non League goals would help to raise the profile of Conference clubs across the country
- More awareness of Non League clubs will increase support and, ultimately, finances for said clubs.
WE WANT:
- The BBC to broadcast a Conference Footy Show
- Footage to be aired on The BBC, showing goals from the three leagues
- More awareness and support for Non League Football.
We are aware that there are logistics/financial implications - blah blah - to consider but for now we are trying to prove that there is an interest and a demand for this to go ahead. We will construct a full and solid argument before we present our case to the BBC. Anybody wishing to get involved, please let us know via our Twitter page or email footypetition@live.co.uk.
Thanks for your support - please sign and share because NON LEAGUE MATTERS.
