We want Larry Fisher to allow the exhumation of the body of Cary Owsley
The Issue
Cary died under suspicious circumstances. His death was ruled a suicide without an autopsy or forensics of any kind. Cary died of a gunshot wound to his chest, 6 centimeters to the left of his sternum. The coroner took the word of the “witnesses in the room” and concluded it was a suicide with any forensics of any kind. No autopsy, no gun shot residue, no investigation.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department investigated the death, but never yellow taped the scene off or interviewed the long list of witnesses, who claim that Cary was moving out of the house he shared with his wife and her adult sons just one hour before he died.
One of the officers on the scene was formerly married to Cary’s wife, the father of her sons and was off duty. We contend that he should not have been on the scene of a death investigation when he has “special knowledge” and was related to the people Cary was in conflict with.
We want Larry Fisher to allow the exhumation of the body on his authority so that the family does not have to have a court order.
