PETITION THE SMUGGLING OF MIGRANTS BILL 2025

WE THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS  ON THE ISLAND OF WEST GRAND BAHAMA AND BIMINI ONE OF HER MAJESTY'S DOMINIONS.

We the undersign unequivocally oppose and  call for the  REPEAL of THE SMUGGLING OF MIGRANTS BILL 2025, due to our concerns  regarding its implications for our community and resources, as residents of West Grand Bahama and Bimini,  we believe that the current provisions of this Bill,  particularly the terms related to "ASYLUM " and  "NON REFROULAMENT" should be removed to better reflect our values and prioritize the well-being of our citizens.

Our island community is already facing significant challenges in accomodating it's current population,  the mentioned terms introduce complexities and obligations that could strain our existing infrastructure and services further.

We urge Lawmakers and THE GOVERNMENT of THE BAHAMAS  to consider without prejudice or victimization the potential repercussions of the SMUGGLING of MIGRANTS BILL 2025 and to act in the best interests of our BAHAMIAN PEOPLE  REPEALING  this BILL and removing the specified terms.

We believe that it is essential to uphold the intergrity of our island community and we stand united in advocating for the well-being and sustainability of our beloved islands of West Grand Bahama and Bimini

Mrs. Toni Stubbs Albury:  THE Representative  for the Coalition of Independence West Grand Bahama and Bimini

Ms. Jillian Bartlett:  Vice Chairlady for TheCoalition of Independence for Grand Bahama

Mrs. Monique Wildgoose Toote: Citizen of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas
