The reason why I have decided to create this particular petition is not to create drama or offend anyone but to do the opposite, to unite us all and just enjoy life without creating a “us vs them” mentality.

Growing up as a Gay child I remember my parents buying us Golden Gaytimes from the local shop and I loved how the flavours, crunchy outside and nice creamy texture on the inside and how it made me feel.

It made me feel fabulous, I was proud that there was a product that had the word “Gay” in it, I remember thinking if people like Golden GayTime then maybe they will like me too.

The past 12 months through COVID has taught us all that life is precious and unpredictable, life is so short and should be celebrated and part of this is to celebrate unity, inclusion and that’s what I think Golden Gaytime provide us ( along with other ice creams, who doesn’t love Vienetta)

This petition is not to provoke, start a fight but to bring light to the fact that we sometimes need to take a step back and realise what is important and for me and I can only speak for me, is embrace the fact that Golden Gaytime remind me of my childhood, happy times before I become a adult and realised that life can suck sometimes but with  a Golden Gaytime,life seems bearable.
