Petition to Rescind the Flexner Report and Restore Honest Research into Herbal Medicine

We, the undersigned, demand that our government take immediate action to rescind the 1910 Flexner Report and its lingering influence on modern medicine. This outdated document, backed by Rockefeller and Carnegie cash, didn’t just “reform” medicine—it bulldozed anything that didn’t fit the new pharma-driven, lab-focused mold. Holistic practices like herbalism, homeopathy, and nutrition were branded as quackery, not because they were rigorously dis-proven, but because they didn’t align with the industrial vision Flexner pushed. It’s less about science and more about who got to control the narrative—and the profits. We call for a fresh start: real, unbiased studies into the power of herbs and natural remedies, free from the chokehold of pharmaceutical monopolies. Herbs are not pseudoscience. Big Pharma is not king. The people deserve the truth.

For too long, the Flexner Report has been hailed as a “reform” when it was really a takeover. It handed the reins of health to corporations that profit from sickness, not wellness. The Flexner legacy labels anything outside its narrow scope as “quackery,” but the real quackery is a system that buries truth for profit and lets corporate agendas dictate what we eat and how we heal. We demand: 

1. Rescind the Flexner Report as a foundational policy and acknowledge its role in stifling diverse medical knowledge.
2. Fund independent, transparent research into herbal medicine and natural therapies, untainted by pharmaceutical lobbying. 
3. Reform medical education to include training in botanical remedies, empowering doctors to offer real alternatives.  
4.  Insurance coverage for proven alternative care services /supplements
     
5. Break Big Pharma’s monopoly on healthcare policy (using chevron) ensuring the people—not corporations—decide what healing looks like.
