Texas Senate Republicans have introduced a bill that would lable the parents of Transgender Youths criminals for supporting their children. Let that sink in for a moment... For allowing their children to express themselves and be who they want to be, parents can be imprisoned and lose custody of their children. "Child Abuse," they call it, when thousands of cases of ACTUAL child abuse are overlooked across the State... nevermind the fact that medical science directly opposes the claim and, in fact, indicates that parental support is crucial to the mental (and physical) health of Trans Youth!

   Mind you, the Texas State Senate has already been informed of this; Doctors for Change has already pointed out in an open letter that this bill ignores science and can severely damage the children it is purported to protect, but the bill is still on the docket so here we are; putting forth a petition to rally against the oppressive legislation! Please, don't stop by signing this petition alone, though! Call or email the Texas State Senate and tell them that they CANNOT pass this bill; that they MUST look at the science and decide based on what is truly best for the youth of Texas! Let them know you stand by Trans youths, and hopefully the State Senate will listen to the voices of the people, since clearly a letter from professionals didn't do the trick!
