Texas State Senate

The Texas State Senate is the upper chamber of the Texas State Legislature, modeled after the U.S. Senate. There are 31 members, each representing different districts across the state for a four-year term. These senators are responsible for proposing, reviewing, and passing state laws, exercising legislative duties, and serving as a voice for the people within their districts. They also play an essential role in handling matters related to the budget, state property management, constitutional amendments, and gubernatorial appointments. The Texas State Senate is led by the Lieutenant Governor, who serves as the President of the Senate.
