This legislative session the State of Texas removed Cosmetology Instructors licenses in the state. 
Cosmetology Instructors teach more than hair, they teach proper sanitation, disinfection, and sterilization to prevent the spread of disease.

By lessening requirements on Cosmetology training, you lessen the quality of the industry as a whole and put the general public at risk of contracting diseases and disorders. 
In Dallas, in 2003 a woman died from an infection obtained during a pedicure, this resulted in more strict regulations WHICH ARE NECESSARY for public health. Lessening standards is proven to be a danger to the general public’s health.

For these reasons and more, we are petitioning for Cosmetology Instructors to be reinstated, and we need the legislation to back the cause for the sake of public health.
