On Jan 13th Judge Dallas Sims denied mom Alicia Perez a restraining order against a man who shot her in the leg resulting in her leg having to be amputated. Judge Dallas Sims stated she would reset the hearing- AND SHE NEVER DID. The courts addressed details three times on Jan 13th regarding Alicia's anticipated birth of her daughter Lily. Alicia's attorney asked for the courts position and if they would be removing Lily. Judge Sims stated "she didn't have a magic 8 ball". Days later they played out the premeditated removal of baby Lily at the hospital without a court order. They stated the reason as "not being able to keep her safe from the father" ( the man that SHOT her and she tried to get a restraining order against) and "drug exposed newborn" (Alicia PASSED a hair follicle, and baby lily passed BOTH urine and meconium drug screens at the hospital). Myself and another advocate recorded this hearing and posted it on Tiktok. JUDGE DALLAS SIMS has now pulled aside Alicia Perez lawyer aside and said she was going to hold Alica in contempt (6 months of jail time and a $500 fee) for REPOSTING a video on tiktok. Alicia STILL has not had due process for the removal of her daughter on Jan. 18th, 2021. RIGHT NOW IT IS FEBRUARY 10TH 2022. They started a shelter hearing on Feb 1st virtually and after only 1 hour of testimony the judge claimed he had to go home. The next day Feb 2nd, the same thing happend, testimony for only another hour before Judge Jones said he had "important matters to attend to." A shelter hearing is supposed to happen within 72 hours of removal and it has been almost A MONTH. Judge Jones also made her DV advocates leave the hearing, leaving her alone to face her abuser. We just got word that court is on Feb 15th 2022 IN PERSON- they don't want anyone watching. We need your help to get these mom justice and get Judge Dallas Sims off the bench for good.
