Clean Up Trash/Debris and Patrol the Houston Highways

Clean Up Trash/Debris and Patrol the Houston Highways
The Issue
Ask the Texas Senate and Representatives to solve the littering and trash problem on the Houston highways. Either by sending out groups of people periodically to pick up the trash or making a littering a more serious offense.
Why is this important?
This will prevent things like road debris and trash from both polluting the environment and causing a safety concern. Road debris can be a terrifying problem that can occur any time during your daily driving, and it's becoming a big problem in the Houston area. Road debris can cause traffic, especially when the debris is large material like mattresses, other household items, and even spare tires.
These debris and littered pieces of trash are all objects that can be safely disposed of or recycled. Having more highways patrolled, create a safer environment for not only us humans but also the animals. When small pieces of trash like food packaging, trash bags, and water bottles fall onto the highway, there are chances of the trash flying around to the habitats of the animals in our environment. This inhibits their habitat and survival, causing our beautiful parks and lakes to be affected.
I believe Houston could become safer and cleaner permanently if we implemented change.
