The family demands that Fort Worth Police Department be investigated by a larger law enforcement agency to ascertain what FWPD did not do to investigate Carolyn’s disappearance and what employees of FWPD, sworn and unsworn, did to prevent a thorough investigation from being done. 

The Fort Worth Police Department failed to investigate the disappearance of Carolyn Riggins. They have contributed to the destruction of evidence, failed to properly log evidence and have been deceptive with the family and the public regarding their actions taken and not taken to interview possible witnesses, to view video footage that could possibly have been used as evidence and a multitude of other procedural violations according to their governing orders. One of the officers on the case shared false information regarding his contributions to the case, the other officer failed to follow direct orders and the Sergeant over the case single-handedly obstructed communication between the family, FWPD and the other law enforcement agency involved. FWPD continues to gaslight the family, will not share information, and has made false and deceptive statements to the media and the public regarding Carolyn Riggins’ case.
