I am asking for everyone to sign this petition so that we can get tablets/Video Visits implemented in the Texas prison system. Because of Covid, TDCJ has cancelled visitation in all its units indefinitely. This is very important because without visits both us and our loved ones suffer. The impact of this implementation would be great for everyone, it would help all of us stay in close contact with the ones we love. These times are hard just imagine not being able to see someone you love Indefinitely it takes a toll on a persons soul. As a Mother, Father, brother, sister, child, husband, wife and all other family I think that I can speak for all of us on the devastation this lack of communication has caused us. Also at this time some units are only allowing 5 or 10 minute phone calls if that. If our loved ones had access to tablets/Video visits it might help eliminate the phone problem as well.  Morale and sprits would be lifted among our loved ones. Our spirts would be lifted. The tablets are a great tool for  our loved ones. They would be able to watch movies, send e-mails to loved ones, store pictures, play games, listen to audio books and do educational things as well. We need to all stand together to try and get these sort of changes made in TDCJ.
