Change to Longford-Innsworth Parish Boundary

The Issue

Many residents of the Horsbere Mews development purchased their homes under the impression that they were buying a property in the village of Longford. However, it has since come to light that a historical parish boundary means that these homes actually fall within the boundaries of Innsworth Parish.

The undersigned residents of the Horsbere Mews development would like to see the parish boundary moved to incorporate the development into Longford Parish.

A proposed solution would be for the eastern boundary of Longford Parish to continue along the line of Horsbere Brook, to the point where the brook intersects with the A40, instead of turning south-southwest to run along Black Ash Lane. The A40 would then mark the southern boundary of Longford Parish. The proposed new boundary is shown in red on the attached image.
