Supermarkets MUST offer soft plastic recycling services

Supermarkets MUST offer soft plastic recycling services
The Issue
Soft & flexible plastics are a growing issue in the UK - with our magazines, bread, fruit, vegetables, clothing all packaged using it. Despite its prevalence in our supermarkets, there is yet a recycling solution for the general public.
You've seen the headlines claiming some are now offering soft plastic recycling & have in-store collection points. But very little evidence has been given that any of the plastic being collected is ever made into something new. Simply collecting the waste, we believe is nothing but greenwashing customers.
Innovators ReWorked, can fully process these tricky items considered non-recyclable. Their forward-thinking technologies enable them to tackle even the most complex, hard-to-recycle plastic items.
With the UK public becoming more environmentally conscious, creating a FREE, UK wide accessible scheme for flexible plastics is needed.
This petition is asking the following companies to support/sponsor/host ReWorked in-store & provide soft plastic recycling as a service to the public:
1. Tesco
2. Sainsbury
3. Asda
4. Aldi
5. B&M
6. Budgens
7. Co-op
8. Iceland
9. Lidl
10. Marks & Spencer
11. Morrisons
12. Waitrose
13. Costco
14. Spar
15. Jack's
And any other retailer selling products featuring soft plastics - now is the time to take responsibility for your waste footprint.
